Germany has Europe’s largest economy and the third largest in the world. If you represent clients who do business in Europe, they undoubtedly are doing business or considering doing business in Germany. But what do U.S. lawyers need to know about doing business in Germany? This CLE program, featuring Christof Siefarth, Sebastian Feiler, and Erik Schaefer, partners in the German firm, Bodenheimer, and who regularly represent U.S. clients, is designed to help U.S. lawyers identify the legal issues they need to understand when advising clients who are doing business or thinking about doing business in Germany, including practical issues resulting from the civil law – common law divide, corporate and cross-cultural issues, employment, IP, and dispute resolution.
