Family law judges are increasingly crushed by dockets that are unworkable, the number of pro se parties who are trying to navigate the system without attorneys is up to 70% of all new filings, judges who've never had any family law experience routinely are put into family dockets to learn how to be judges, and overall things aren't great in our family law system. This presentation will outline some of the reasons the Family Law section is studying what can be changed to make family law work better for attorneys, judges, and most importantly the citizens of our state.
