Judge Lisa C. Arnolds
Judge Lisa C. Arnolds was appointed as a District Court Judge in the Second Judicial District in February 2020. Judge Arnolds presided on numerous domestic relations cases. Prior to her appointment to the Court, Judge Arnolds was a Supervising Attorney with the Colorado State Public Defender in Denver. Her practice consisted of criminal law, with a specialty in treatment courts and restorative justice. Previously, she was a solo practitioner and contractor with Alternate Defense Counsel, and a Deputy State Public Defender with the Colorado State Public Defender. Judge Arnolds earned her B.A. from Seattle University in 1996, and her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 2006.  
 
Kama McConaughy Sarkissian
Kama McConaughy Sarkissian focuses her practice in all areas of family law. Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian has an extensive background in complex litigation, settlement negotiations, and appeals, having represented clients throughout the state of Colorado. Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian is licensed to practice law in Colorado. She graduated in 1993 from the University of Colorado, Boulder, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1993. Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian attended Tulane School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude. During law school, Ms. McConaughy Sarkissian was an associate editor of The Tulane International and Comparative Law Journal.  
 
Sameh Afifi
Sameh Afifi focuses his practice in all areas of family law in addition to construction defect and environmental law. Mr. Afifi is licensed to practice law in Colorado and has recently been awarded Avvo Client's Choice 2021 Award. He works at McConaughy & Sarkissian, P.C. where he is specialized in litigating highly contested divorces and child custody cases in the District Courts of Denver, Arapahoe, Douglas, and Jefferson. He earned his Juris Doctor from Sturm College of Law in Denver. He started his law career as a law clerk at Denver District Court. He also interned at the Office of Colorado Attorney General, and as a law clerk at the Colorado Office of Administrative Courts. Mr. Afifi received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University in 1994.
