FEDERAL LIMITED APPEARANCE PROGRAM (“F.L.A.P.”)
Volunteer Application
Volunteer attorneys through this program offer one-time, limited scope pro bono representation to pro se parties involved in civil cases for scheduled appearances in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. After a confidential consultation, parties and volunteer attorneys will decide whether to move forward and the terms of the representation, if any. Volunteer attorneys are able to help with part of the case, usually in the courtroom or immediately before or after a courtroom appearance, but they do not provide continued representation. Volunteer attorneys do not handle criminal, bankruptcy, or appellate matters and do not represent pro se prisoners in civil matters.
Submission of this application does not guarantee attorneys will be matched with a litigant for representation.
To participate in this program as a volunteer attorney, please complete and submit this application to Colorado Bar Association, care of Jess Ham, at [email protected].
