Mr. Cohen is the founding partner at Peak Legal Services LLC.  He has been a Colorado licensed attorney since 1996 and has tried over 100 felony and misdemeanor cases to verdict, as well as negotiated settements and plea bargains in thousands of cases.  

Mr. Cohen served as a Senior Deputy District Attorney for more than 12 years in the 1st Judicial District (Jefferson and Gilpin counties) and 4th Judicial District (El Paso and Teller counties).  As a prosecutor he served in special units to include Crimes Against Children (SVU) and Domestic Violence, as well as on the DA Homicide call list. Mr. Cohen is especially well-versed in Colorado's sex offense, child abuse, violent crime and homicide statutes, as well as DUI laws.

Before his legal career, Mr. Cohen was a journalist and investigative reporter, covering major crime and court trials.  This experience makes him uniquely skilled at questioning police and other witnesses in and out of court to elicit critiical facts and achieve just and positve outcomes for clients.
